Time Stamps
2:34: The vision for 8 Owls Publishing was that we would be an umbrella organization that would partner with other freelancers in the publishing world.
2:42: If I could help you get that book out of your heart and onto the written pages and then Talor could help you take that and release it into the world and allow God to use it however He saw fit.
4:25: I saw that God wanted to release creativity into the earth and that it was going to be the next move of the Spirit.
5:06: The Italian Renaissance was on the heels of the Black Plague
6:20: The artists of the Renaissance grapple with who Jesus is and how to present Him. As they do that, people find that Jesus has left the distant place they believed Him to inhabit, and He has come down into their circumstances. Now everyone has access to find out, “Who is this Jesus?” And isn’t it amazing that we are now on the heels of another pandemic and all this creativity is being released?
7:00: People are hungry and searching even today for that access to Him (Jesus). They are searching so many different modalities from new age to different spiritualities. Creativity is being used to break in and show people who He is. It’s an exciting time to be on the business side of things championing other people into creativity.
8:12: Where creativity is being released the most is in the area of business and entrepreneurship.
8:42: Entrepreneurship is a move of God to raise His people above the ways of the world. 9:42: The Church has always been called to be solutionists.
10:50: The Holy Spirit is being poured out so that we can be solutionists, we can cultivate the Kingdom, we can work the ground, and bring life back into the earth.
11:28: Being creative doesn’t mean that you have to create out of nothing, you just have to look at things differently.
13:53: You were created to create.
14:09: Salvation is God’s creative ability to come into our situation and bring about His new creation in our lives.
14:32: Your redemption story is actually a story of recreation.
14:43: 8 Owls original vision was to help people write their redemption story and publish the ones that took some courage to do so.
15:00: We want God to get the full glory from each one of our stories He writes through our lives.
16:07: A book is the most obvious and effective way to share your testimony because it has the potential to go all over the world.
18:15: A book can break through a religious mindset and bring the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
18:29: Writing a book is healing in itself. It allows you to process through the shame, the pain, and maybe bitterness and unforgiveness.
19:00: We want to process all the way into healing and then release healing over others. 20:47: Free 5-day Facebook event called WriteMyStory Challenge
23:20: Marketing your book is coming up with a strategy in knowing who your audience is and figuring out how to reach them.
23:46: Selling is serving.
24:21: Marketing is not self-promotion. It’s creating an avenue for the people who need what you have to say.
25:02: As the Church, all of us are called into evangelism. We may not all be called as a prophet, an apostle, or a pastor, but we are all called to evangelize. We are all called to share our faith.
25:30: If we can help you craft your story and then strategize to release it out into the world, then we are helping you learn to share your faith and be the evangelist that God has called you to be.
